The Senate is scheduled to be in session again on November 9 and about one month later, federal funding will run out. To keep the government open, Congress quickly must pass appropriation bills. Since the federal government plays a critical role in protecting American families, businesses, and communities against the effects of climate-driven extreme weather, its budget must provide for climate and environmental protections and clean and affordable energy programs.
Our speaker, Mikaela Tajo, will share her insights into the environmental implications of the upcoming federal budget process. Mikaela is a climate policy analyst on the Federal Fiscal Policy Team at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Save the date for the next Network Briefing on Tuesday, December 15th.
