Trump's proposed budget cuts funds for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), America's frontline against climate disasters. Our speaker will give us the inside scoop on the politics behind FEMA and why it's imperative that Congress intervene. Our speaker is Rachel Cleetus, senior policy director with the Climate and Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. She is an expert in policies to promote clean energy in the power sector, including carbon pricing. She is also an expert on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) process and has been attending international climate negotiations since 2009.
